Job Description:

The City of Cape May Fire Dept. is looking for part time personnel. Qualified applicants are to meet the requirements listed below. Hours of work range from 12-24 hour shifts. Interested persons are to email Deputy Chief Eck at meck@capemaycity.com

    Be a resident of Cape May County (preferred)
    High School Diploma/GED
    Pass a criminal background check
    Valid NJ Driver’s License
    Pass a medical screening and pulmonary function test
    NJ or National Registry EMT
    CPR
    NJ State or Pro-Board Firefighter 1
    NJ State or Pro-Board Firefighter 2
    Confined Space Awareness
    Hazardous Materials Awareness
    Hazardous Materials Operations
    ICS 200, 700, 800
    Experience as an active firefighter in a municipal (paid or volunteer) department.
    Experience as an Emergency Medical Technician in a municipal (paid or volunteer department)
    Rope/High Angle Awareness or equivalent
    Open Water Rescue Awareness
    Ice Rescue Awareness
    Vehicle Extrication 1
