The Public Works Complex includes:

Administrative & Recycling Offices
Buildings & Grounds Department
Recycling Station
Streets & Roads Department
Traffic Maintenance Department
Vehicle Maintenance Department

The City of Cape May Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of 29.74 miles of roadway, storm sewer system, public buildings, parks, playgrounds, beaches, promenade, and pedestrian mall.
Traffic Maintenance maintains signs and line painting, as well as parking meter maintenance. Our daily maintenance of our public facilities including parks, rest rooms, playgrounds, parking lots, 2.8 miles of bathing beaches, including our 1.4 mile promenade. This is all accomplished with a fleet of 90 vehicles, which are maintained by our personnel.
The Department responds to many inquiries, requests, and complaints. We are an all-purpose department.
